While summer is undeniably my favorite time of year for numerous reasons, there is something exciting about the coming of fall each year. In Texas, we don’t quite have the colorful change of seasons as beautiful New England, but the feeling is still there. The sun sets a bit earlier, festivals are everywhere, and holidays and family get togethers are approaching. And while I will inevitably complain about too much cold, I look forward to those first few weeks of gentle chill that allow for snuggly mornings, boots and oversized sweaters, and yes, the smell of pumpkin spice everything.
